    The FGCAC is composed of over 30 members from various backgrounds including industry, government, Indigenous communities, academia, and the public across Canada and the United States, working together to develop sustainable solutions for end-of-life and abandoned, lost, and discarded fishing and aquaculture gear.

    eOceans conducts ocean research and has a Platform-as-a-Service that enables collaborative, transparent and real-time ocean monitoring. The eOceans app automates the manual processes of ocean science by integrating the expertise of marine science PhDs and crowdsourced data so that teams stay focused on the important parts of ocean investigations – study design, ocean exploring, interpretation of results, decision making, and action.

  • Green Marine

    Green Marine is an environmental certification program for the North American marine industry. It is a voluntary, transparent and inclusive initiative that addresses key environmental issues through its 14 performance indicators. Participants are ship owners, ports, terminals, Seaway corporations, and shipyards.

    The Friends of United Nations World Oceans Day (FOWOD) is an informal community of individuals and organizations active in the field of ocean affairs to support the marking of United Nations World Oceans Day (UNWOD), 8 June, and related activities.

    Ghost Gear Disappear aims to seamlessly introduce cutting edge ROV retrieval methodology of ghost fishing gear on board of as many commercial fishing vessels as possible. They also aim to replace habitat that is sometimes removed in the process by installing various artificial marine habitat structures and determine what types suit local marine ecological needs to maintain biodiversity.

    Ocean Legacy, a Canadian non-profit based in British Columbia dedicated to ending ocean plastic waste. They work with scientists, government, non-profits, artists, industries and concerned citizens to catalyze innovative solutions to combat plastic pollution.

    Green Worms Started as a Waste Management Enterprise in 2014 and has now evolved into a Circular Economy Transition Company. They are addressing the waste crisis and poverty by creating livelihoods and enabling a circular economy.

    The CIRAIG is an internationally recognized center of expertise on life cycle and sustainability metrics located in Montreal, Canada. It has over 20 years of applied experience, firmly grounded in science.
